There were a lot of pieces in this article that I thought were really well written. The first was that "'leaderism' has become a general feature of our global political landscape." I recently read Populist Explosion by John B. Judis but i didn't think of "leaderism" as an important aspect. Populists appealed to some rational, not a "celebrity" appeal. I think their point here is a good one, especially when comparing it to French politics which seem to suffer the same fate.
