  • I enjoyed this story for what it was: a contemplation on the life of a middle-class parent in America. Andrea's kids are struggling to get into the best schools, with all the stress that implies, and she doesn't make it any easier as a college counselor.

Her husband, Steve, and her are constantly bickering over silly things: who emptied the dishwasher, who does more at home, how to talk to the children. The stress in their own lives seems to be bleeding into their relationship. Although they clearly are not happy, they are content in their own way.

I think a lot of people can relate to this story. Nothing of importance happens whatsoever, but it's was a nice story to read and relax with.
