The white male on the plane reminded me so much of people these days who critique the kneeling of players in the NFL or the BLM protests. From their position in society, they see these things as detrimental to the current state of affairs.

He even goes so far to ask if MLK is a Christian and accuses him if helping "communists." This sort of rhetoric is still prevelant in society to this day. I don't know how to fight it, and it gives me solace that even MLK could not sway their minds. It must be a type of though ingrained in society and just a piece of the boulder that people have to move forward with every new generation.
